PTCL is the one exception worth naming directly: its portal is epay.ptcl.net.pk and it identifies accounts by the 10-digit landline number.

epay.ptcl.net.pk and the PTCL self-care site (my.ptcl.net.pk) both work — enter the 10-digit landline number tied to your connection and the current bill loads. No portal access? Dial 1218 and PTCL's helpline can read the figures to you over the phone.

Four charges show up across the board: Federal Excise Duty at 19.5%, Withholding Tax at 12.5% for FBR filers or 25% for non-filers, Advance Income Tax, and provincial sales tax on some connections. None of these are ISP-specific — they're federal and provincial charges every licensed provider is required to collect the same way.

For PTCL, yes — both wallets are accepted alongside most bank apps. Nayatel, StormFiber, and Transworld lean more on bank transfer and a smaller set of fintech wallets rather than JazzCash and Easypaisa specifically. Your ISP's own payment page is the source of truth for what it actually accepts.

DSL runs over the existing copper telephone line — that's what PTCL's DSL and EVO plans use — so it reaches almost anywhere a landline does, capped around 20 Mbps. FTTH replaces the copper with glass fibre; Nayatel, StormFiber, Transworld, and Optix all sell it, with speeds up to 1 Gbps and fewer weather-related drops. Fixed wireless, from Wateen and Jazz, rides 4G LTE radio signals instead of any cable, which makes it the practical option where neither fibre nor a phone line reaches.

Federal Excise Duty is a flat 19.5% applied to the subscription amount before withholding tax is worked out — it's calculated on top of the plan fee alone, not the whole bill. Every licensed ISP in the country is legally obligated to collect it and remit it to FBR; there's no version of an internet bill here without it.

Call your ISP's helpline with the account number and a clear description of what's wrong — for PTCL that's 1218, for Nayatel it's 051-111-629-283. Most providers also run an online dispute form inside their own portal. Whichever route you use, hold on to the billing statement and any reference number the call gives you; you'll need both if the dispute drags on.

Nayatel's fibre network has the strongest reputation in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. StormFiber covers Lahore well. PTCL works as a fallback in both cities where fibre hasn't reached yet. None of that matters, though, until you confirm coverage at your exact address — availability can differ street to street even within a well-served city.
