What is the 14-digit reference number and where do I find it?
The 14-digit reference number uniquely identifies your electricity connection. It is printed at the top of your physical bill and is also shown on the Electricity Bill duplicate bill view. Every digital payment channel in Pakistan uses this number to route payment to the correct account.
Is it safe to pay my electricity bill online?
Yes — official payment apps (JazzCash, Easypaisa, bank apps) connect to the 1Link national payment network regulated by the State Bank of Pakistan. Always download apps from the Play Store or App Store, never share your PIN, and verify the displayed amount against your Electricity Bill duplicate bill before confirming payment.
Can I pay multiple months of electricity bills at once?
DISCOs bill monthly. If you have arrears from previous months they appear as a combined total in the 'Amount Due' field, and you pay the full amount shown. You generally cannot pre-pay future bills through the standard 1Link payment system.
What should I do if my electricity bill payment did not post?
If the amount was deducted from your account but not reflected in your DISCO account within 24–48 hours, save your digital receipt and contact the payment channel's support (JazzCash, Easypaisa, or your bank). They can trace the 1Link transaction ID. Also call your DISCO helpline (118) with the receipt to request manual posting.
