Pay Your Electricity Bill on JazzCash
What it is. JazzCash is Mobilink's branchless banking wallet. Every Pakistani DISCO integrates with JazzCash via the 1Link bill-payment network, so you can pay your bill by entering your 14-digit reference number.
Step by step
- Open the JazzCash app and sign in with your MPIN.
- Tap 'Pay Bill' then 'Electricity'.
- Select your company (MEPCO, LESCO, etc.) from the list.
- Enter your 14-digit reference number and tap 'Inquire'. The amount and due date load from PITC.
- Confirm and tap 'Pay'. You receive an SMS receipt with a transaction ID — keep it in case of a disputed payment.
Pros and cons
Pros:
- Available 24/7 and settles instantly on the DISCO side.
- No transaction fee on most electricity bills.
- Paperless receipt — the transaction ID is proof of payment.
Cons:
- Requires a registered JazzCash account and sufficient wallet balance.
- On rare occasions the DISCO reflects the payment after 24–48 hours; keep the receipt.
Frequently asked questions
Will JazzCash work after the due date?
Yes — it still processes payment on the after-due-date amount. Once the late fee kicks in, that's the figure you'll see when you hit 'Inquire'.
What if JazzCash says 'bill not found'?
Compare the 14-digit reference number against your paper bill or our bill checker — leading zeros are easy to drop. If it still doesn't come up, the DISCO probably hasn't uploaded this month's bill yet; give it a few hours and retry.
